Packing

Why do people make such a fuss about packing? Measure out as many shirts, pants, underpants and socks as you will need (about as many days as you will be gone) and put them in your suitcase. They'll get wrinkled no matter what, so that's not a problem. What else do you need? A toothbrush, I guess, and a comb if you're that kind of person. Where's the difficulty? I could do it in five minutes. I did do it in five minutes. See you Sunday.

some of us have things like laptops, batteries, power cords, books, pen tablets, sketchbooks, pencils etc... makeup and shower stuff. i know you say, 'but everyone has soap you can borrow'. that is fine for people who aren't allergic to about 90% of soaps. and then there's the alarm clock. if you need more than one sort of shoe..then which sort...etc.

i also very rarely leave the house without measuring tape, these days.

Well you may be right. But if you're sketching and reading, well, some people would call that decadent.

P.S. I forgot to pack any shirts. But the principle is sound.
